This set was written earlier this year (2023) for a show with The Mercury Tree and Opposite Day. I wrote the original tunes as rough sketches on guitar, sent them to Sam and Aaron and then we had one rehearsal to do some minor arranging. It's an honor for me to play with such great musicians and to hear how they turn my rough ideas into some seriously exciting music. We weren't able to record our show this time, so we got together at Sam's practice space and recorded the set a few months later. I (heroically!) resisted the urge to "fix" all my guitars, so what you hear is what we played, except for the guitars on Test Drive which were out of tune and were re-recorded at home later.
